Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Dallas – a resource that deals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. It’s an organization that has accelerated its global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
The caregiving page are for those who provide daily caregiving, participate in decision making, or simply care about a person with the disease. Educational and practical support are offered by this association.
American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Caregiving Page – resources for caregivers such as dealing with emotions for caregiving, mental health, cost, safety and living options.
Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas – non-profit food pantry and emergency assistance providing food including clean meats. They also provide free transportation to local doctor visits and essential trips for seniors who have enrolled as a client. To qualify, look-up the zip codes where you live.
