Hi Church Family,
There’s no way around it. Every single place we look, there’s brokenness.
Broken faith, broken promises, broken people.
Maybe we’re tired of seeing them, or maybe we are them.
This Sabbath, we hope to intentionally highlight the fact that our brokenness doesn’t have any bearing on God’s power in our life.
“Jesus said to them, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.'” (Mark 2:17b)“
God didn’t lower the standard of holiness. He found a way to make us holy that isn’t dependent on our performance. Grace wins.” -Tyler Staton
This is the gospel in a nutshell! Jesus is here to rescue us from the nonsense that we witness each and every day.
Whether we are broken and think we’re righteous, or we’re broken and we know we’re broken, we need Jesus.
This weekend, we will talk about our main weapon in this fight against brokenness.
Conversation.
It is Jesus’ favorite way to build bridges and relationships, and it’s something we have the opportunity to do every day.
So this is my personal invitation for you to come and join the dialogue.
