Church Re-opening Plan

Dear Church Family and Friends,

After more than two months, we are so happy to be able to announce a gradual, cautious, and phased re-opening plan to allow us to begin worshiping together again! We’re delighted to be opening our church for in-person worship once again this coming Sabbath, May 16. Here are a few things to remember as embark on this re-opening journey:

    1. Many people are looking forward to returning right away, and many people are concerned about returning and plan to wait a little longer or a lot longer before returning. Wherever you are at, we want you to know that’s ok. We want you to do what you feel is right for your family and what you feel comfortable with and we want you to know we totally respect that.
    2. We are re-opening according the State and Texas Conference Guidelines for Churches. We are limiting capacity to provide for proper social distancing, disinfecting, strongly encouraging mask wearing, and offering a 9:00 am and 11:25 am worship service to accommodate more worshippers but allow for social distanciBelow you can view the full Phase One document for all our precautions.
    3. Until further notice, there no Children’s Sabbath School classes and only a live-stream adult Sabbath School class.
    4. As you think about returning, if you are in an at-risk group, we recommend you remain home and continue engaging with us digitally. We also request everyone to self-screen before coming and if you have any of the symptoms listed in the Phase One document, particularly a temperature at or above 100, please remain home.
    5. Please follow state guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing.

If you are planning on attending this Sabbath, please fill in this survey so we can have an idea of how many will be attending for each service.

Last of all, let’s remember to be loving and respectful toward everyone and not to be judgmental or critical of how anyone chooses to navigate this journey. We’re happy we can provide in-person worship for those who desire it, and we want for all of us to make this as uplifting, encouraging, and God-honoring as we can.
Welcome back whenever you choose to return!
