Everyone's invited

Thank you for planning to join us for Sabbath worship.

Whether this is your first time worshiping with us, you're passing through, or you're looking for a new church home, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable here. Here are a few things to know before you come.

Finding us

Turn into our parking lot from Waterview. The main entrance is straight ahead as you pull in, and guest parking is directly across from the door. Accessible spaces are spread around all sides of the building, and there's more parking behind it. We do fill up some Sabbaths, and when we do, you're welcome to park across the street at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

When you arrive

For everyone's safety, the main entrance is the only door we keep unlocked during the day, so we always know who's coming and going. A member of our welcome team will greet you there. Let them know it's your first time with us and they'll have a gift waiting for you.

FAQs

  • Come as you're comfortable. You'll find people here in everything from casual to formal, and because our congregation comes from all over the world, you'll often see members in the traditional dress of their home countries. However you show up, you'll fit right in.

  • First service ends right as Sabbath school begins, so you're welcome to join us for both — or to come at 10:15 for Sabbath school and stay for second service. Either way, you'll be here for the full experience.

  • On Wednesday evenings at 7:00, Keys to the Kingdom, a Bible study with our senior pastor, Pastor Michael Hayes, is held in our young adult room.

  • Richardson is a church that families love, and there's a lot here for kids and youth on Sabbath morning.

Sabbath school at 10:15 has classes for every age, starting with newborns. Children's classes meet in the children's wing inside the main building. Preteens and teens meet in the gym, the building to the right of the main entrance. We use a check-in system for our children's classes, so plan to walk your child to their room and check them in yourself.

During the worship services, two rooms are open to you:

    • The nursing room, at the back of the sanctuary, has one-way glass so you can see and hear the service while you're there, along with rocking chairs and a changing station.

    • The overflow room is a favorite of families with active little ones. Kids have space to move around and play while parents follow the service on the stream in the room.

If you have trouble finding any of these rooms, ask anyone on our welcome team and they'll walk you there.
